Meet our coaches
Johnny Hernandez
Coach Johnny Hernandez was born and raised in New York. He played lacrosse as a defenseman on Long Island at Division Avenue High School for Sean Smith who coached at Army and later for Hofstra University. Coach Hernandez continued his lacrosse career at NYIT for Hall of Fame Coach Jack Kaley, where he was part of the '94 team that went to the Division II National Championship. He moved to Wellington, Florida in 1999, currently resides in Royal Palm Beach with his wife Tammy and their two children Justin and Gabrielle. He joined the Wellington Community High School Boy's Lacrosse coaching staff as the Defensive coordinator in 2011, and with Coach Joe Calby has led Wellington to four District Titles. In 2016, Coach Hernandez was named Head Coach of Wellington High School, leading the Wolverines to the District Championship Game in his first season as head coach
Jacob Webb
Jacob Webb joined King's in 2015 as the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Head Coach. Coach Webb is a graduate of nearby Palm Beach Atlantic University with his B.S. in Psychology. He has coached Lacrosse throughout Palm Beach Country for the past 6 years through Recreational and Travel programs. In his first season in charge of the Varsity program, he guided the Lions to an 8-6 record including wins over Cardinal Newman, Park Vista, and South Fork. He since has qualified the Lions Lacrosse team to 2 District Tournament Appearances (Top 4 only), and had the programs best season in 2018-19 finishing 2nd in the District and Top 25 in the State.
Bryce Dalton
Graduated from Wellington High school in 2014. 1st team all district and 2nd team all region defensemen. Signed with division 2 Brevard College. Coached with the Wellington lacrosse Club for two years., Current Goalie Coach at Wellington high school. I look at coaching as a great opportunity for me to give back the gift that all my coaches gave to me.
Chris Englert
Played Division 2 lacrosse at Ohio Valley University and club Division 2 at FGCU. Been coaching for 3 years, Wellington high school Defense Coach. Hopes to grow the game and coach players to the best of their abilities.
Jason Heatherly
Originally from Geneva NY in the Finger lakes region. Jason graduated Geneva HS where he played Varsity Defense. Jason now is the VP of Wellington Youth Lacrosse, Head Coach of the U14 Wellington Wolfpack, & Assistant Middle School Coach at The Kings Academy.
